On Sunday morning you may hear the sound of organ, piano, harpsichord and bells. You will also hear the sound of people singing praise to God with adult and children's choirs and congregational singing.

Join the Choir for the Easter Services!
The choir is singing for the 8:15 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. services on Easter Sunday. If you would like to join the choir for this, please contact me soon. We would love to have you even for a few weeks to prepare for this performance. Rehearsals will be on Wednesday, March 17, and Wednesday, March 24, from 8:15-8:45 p.m. There will also be a full rehearsal on Sunday, March 28 from 12:00 noon-2:00 p.m. with a pot luck preceding. Having so many
wonderful voices for the Christmas season was a gift! I hope that we can rejoice in the same way again!

We have many opportunities to be involved in the music ministry of Second Presbyterian Church. These include:

 New Director, New Night, New Song!
Let us sing to the Lord a new song! It is a time of new and wonderful beginnings in music worship at Second Presbyterian. My name is Cory Ganschow, and I am delighted to be starting a new journey with you as Music Director. I am in my first year of my PhD at UMKC in Music Education and Curriculum and Instruction, and I can’t think of a better welcome to Kansas City than to work within a great church community.
If you are in high school or above, you can help us bring the vitality of music to worship through singing in the choir. You do not need to have any choral experience...just a love of singing, a spirit of joy, and an open mind. You will learn as we go!
Choir practice is on Wednesdays from 7:30-9:00 p.m. We will sing a variety of music from Bach to Gospel. The more singers we have, the more beautiful sounds we can make. If you’ve been thinking about it and just haven’t decided whether you want to join, I encourage you to come for a few weeks to try it out. Singing with such a wonderful group of musicians, I know that you will want to stay!
If you are not a singer, but you play an instrument or can share any other musical gift with the congregation, please get in touch with me and let me know. We are always looking for special music and/or instrumentalists to play with our choral repertoire. There are so many opportunities to get involved in music worship, and we need you to use your talents!
