The CE Committee would like to thank those who have given time and effort to help educate our community from the youngest to the oldest.  These teachers proved learning opportunities, encourage those who attend to get to know one another, share joys and concerns, and laugh together.  We appreciate their time and commitment in all aspects of their ministry to our community of faith.

Bible Speaks Today:
With the Bible in one hand and a newspaper in the other, a thoughtful group gathers on Sunday mornings to discuss how
God's Word guides our daily lives. Facilitators Steve Owens and Barbara Loots bring background resources to the table and help guide the conversation. Each week the class studies those scripture passages that serve as the basis for that day's sermon. In this way, the class studies important passages in the Bible and makes their worship experience even more meaningful.Third floor, Room C.

Covenant Class:
Themes tie the lessons together, but we attempt to have each class stand on its own in this discussion format Bible study class which explores the meaning of scripture and how it effects our everyday lives. Facilitators: Doug and Molly Hundley. Third floor, Room D.

Join Us Tuesdays
We wonder why more people don't join us at 7:00-8:00 a.m. every Tuesday morning for Bible Study in Meeting Room A. You probably just don't know what we're up to. Using the standard 4-selection lectionary for the following Sunday, we read the selections and discuss them as the Spirit leads us. Coffee, juice, and sometimes, "nibbles" are provided. Promptness is not required and leaving early is understood. All of the regulars keep coming back, because we don't want to miss the experience. Let us share it with you.

I've enjoyed the warm camaraderie and the Bible Study. It's always an enriching start to the week I hope others wil come to explore the Bible with us.

Bill's Blog
Because space is always limited in newspapers, sometimes columnists like me don't get to share everything they'd like to in print. The Internet has begun to solve that problem with the creation of blogs, or Web logs, those now widely used journals of thought (and sometimes nonsense).

Well, welcome to my new blog. You'll find it at this address:http://billtammeus.typepad.com

I may not post new material there every day, but I should manage to do so several times a week. Please check it often. And let me know what you think. Each day's posting should take you not only a few minutes to read. But I hope it has you thinking for much longer than that.
