Jenna Soltys is Second’s Director of Communications. In this role, she helps to share Second’s story, amplify its message and build relationships with Second’s neighborhood and community partners.

Jenna received her bachelor’s degrees in Graphic Design and Music from High Point University in 2013, then went on to pursue her master’s in Vocal Performance from the University of Northern Colorado, graduating in 2015. During her master’s program, Jenna sang for a local church, and later accepted a full-time position there doing communications. In 2016, she decided it was time to return to her Kansas City roots, where she then served as Associate Youth Director at Village Presbyterian, her home church, for nearly six years.

Jenna lives in Mission with her two longhaired chihuahuas (Icelynn and Tate) and loves being able to run in the neighborhood, and walk to nearby friends’ houses and restaurants. Most of her family is still in Prairie Village and KCMO and she gathers with them regularly. Other favorite activities include binge-watching documentaries, organizing, and being outside.
