We are a congregation with many yesterdays, proclaiming the Good News today, in ways as new as tomorrow. First and foremost, we are a community of people attempting to serve faithfully Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We come from near and far to be encouraged and challenged by one another as we read the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments and as we face the issues, concerns and joys of life today.

I am excited to be the Pastor of this congregation as we together, staff and members, set our hearts and minds on ministry and mission in God's name. Second has always had a commitment to serving the needs of its . congregation and the community. We believe ourselves to be a growing community of some 900 members: young and old, single and married, lifelong Presbyterians and church newcomers, urban and suburban. We share a strong commitment to be a church in and for the city. We are a people who cherish the truth that God's invitation is extended to all.
